Gallery Party
I went to another fabulous gallery party at the Weiss Gallery today. It was featuring the work of my ACAD classmate, Lee Nielson. It was so great to see him again after so long. So it was a fun afternoon of art, mingling, nibbles, and wine.
Check out Lee's work at the Weiss Gallery (1021 Sixth Street SW).

Glitter & Doom
This editorial in WOUND Magazine is very, very much my style. I love every single piece. I want this to be my fall wardrobe! I'm very into blazers and cinching them in at the waist with a great belt. I especially love the lime green Paul Smith blazer with the Vivienne Westwood rope belt in the last picture. And I know someone who would love the knitted Paul Smith scarf in the first picture ;).

Aladdin Sane
I've been feeling so inspired lately. I've been listening to a lot of Bowie and Dead Or Alive. I watched a documentary on Pete Burns of Dead Or Alive yesterday, and he's truly fascinating and inspiring. I love his view on dressing up and glamour. "Clothes are a walking art. We look at pictures on walls in galleries. Why go to a gallery when you can stick it on yourself and walk around?... I like clothes to be kind of uncomfortable, so I know I'm wearing them." Most of my idols are people who have, to some point, become defined by their image. David Bowie, Róisín Murphy, Pete Burns... people who dress up, live glamorously, and don't apologize for it. I'd love a day in their shoes. Or should I say, their six inch Vivienne Westwood platform heels.

Starstruck
Lady Gaga gives me a reason to strut, and is part of the reason why the phrase "dressing down" is not in my vocabulary. Every sidewalk is a runway. Every day is a fashion show.

Pass The Horse Meat, Darling
I first read about Horse Meat Disco in BUTT Magazine. There was an article with a few party pictures, and I thought, "Where have you been all my life?". Now here's a gay club I would go to. People DRESS UP! You wont find any Christian Audigier or Ed Hardy here, thank god. I'm craving a place like this. Pure disco, madness, and couture. I want to dress up, throw on pounds of glitter and dance to some disco.

Horrorshow!
I don't usually wear T-shirts with graphics on them, but this one was so sick, I had to get it.
